Kid Rock is gearing up to perform at one of Donald Trump's big inauguration events over the weekend -- but one former first lady who won't be at the inauguration is Michelle Obama -- and KR is taking a little jab at her.

The rock star was interviewed Thursday on "Jesse Watters Primetime" ... with Watters kicking things off by asking KR if Monday's inauguration was going to be his first.

KR responded no and that he heard Michelle was skipping the event, before telling a story about how he performed at Barack's 2009 inauguration despite not voting for him.

Dame Joan Plowright, a legendary British actress of the stage and screen, has died ... this according to her family.

The actress -- who was best known for her work in the 1992 film, "Enchanted April," for which she earned an Oscar nomination and a Golden Globe award -- died peacefully Thursday surrounded by her loved ones at Denville Hall ... a retirement home for performers in North West London.

While her family did not share a cause of death, they did applaud "her brilliant career" and thanked those "who helped care for her in her last years."

Blake Lively is not backing down from Justin Baldoni's massive legal challenge ... and she says his $400 million lawsuit is straight out of the abuser playbook.

Blake's legal team responded to Justin's lawsuit Thursday with a scathing statement, saying ... In a week that's been pretty crummy for Evgeni Malkin, he finally got some positive news ... his Stanley Cup rings have been found.

The Allegheny County Police Dept. said Thursday the championship bling that Malkin had thought was stolen in a burglary at his Pennsylvania home over the weekend was discovered.

Cops say the trio of rings was "located inside his residence," though they did not elaborate on the matter further.
