Annoying Soccer Horns -- Banned from NBA Finals

Published | Updated

Horny NBA fans are about to get a rude awakening -- those obnoxious World Cup horns are officially vuvuzela non grata at the big Game 7 tonight in Los Angeles.

TMZ spoke with a rep for the STAPLES Center in L.A. -- where the deciding game between L.A. Lakers and the Boston Celtics is scheduled to go down -- and we're told the arena bans ALL noisemakers, "so if you bring a vuvuzela you would not be able to bring it in with you."

Ironically, the ban doesn't seem to include thundersticks -- every foul shot shooter's nightmare -- which arena ushers hand out at halftime.

This is all bad news for Boston radio stations -- who have been encouraging Boston fans to bring down the mighty Kobe by tooting their own horns.

We're told although the DNA test excludes Tiger, it establishes to a reasonable certainty who fathered the boy -- a guy from Florida.

The boy's pics were posted on Kikster.com. Coincidentally, he does look an awful lot like Tiger.

Annoying World Cup Horns -- The Silver Lining

Millions of vuvuzela headaches at the World Cup may actually end up helping several poor African villages -- and it's all because of the incredibly huge demand for earplugs.

Here's how it breaks down: a South African non-profit called Uthango Social Investments has decided to manufacture their own brand of earplugs ... and use the profits to bring technology to poor African villages -- specifically broadband Internet.

A rep for Uthango tells TMZ, the company partnered with a huge South African vuvuzela manufacturer called Masincedane Sport weeks before the World Cup -- who agreed to sell Uthango's earplugs in a package along with their vuvuzelas.

Uthango pulls in $0.66 for every set of earplugs they sell -- and we're told they've already sold 75,000 pairs ... which means they've raised $49,500 in cold hard earplug money.

According to the rep, they expect to sell at least 175,000 more before the tournament is over.
