Elin Nordegren is putting the finishing touches on her Florida mega-mansion -- and it would never have been possible if Tiger's wang wasn't touching all those skanks back in the day.

See, they were good for something after all.

Kobe Bryant has apparently forgiven Phil Jackson for calling him an insecure, sensitive sub-Jordanesque player in his book ... 'cause the two got together for breakfast this week, TMZ has learned.

We've learned ... Kobe and his former Lakers coach shared a booth at Wendy's Place in El Segundo Thursday morning ... chowing down on eggs and other breakfast-y items.

Kobe and Phil have had a complicated relationship over the years ... which Phil touched upon in his book, "Eleven Rings," which he released back in May.

In the book, Phil wrote that Michael was a better shooter, defender and overall leader than Kobe ... which some people interpreted as a slight against the Mamba.

But at breakfast yesterday, the two seemed as chummy as ever ... talking about basketball while scarfing down their meal.

So, who paid when the bill came??? The guy with the most jewelry.

First order of business ... turn my bedroom door into a Gucci shrine!!!

We'd say it looks lame ... but Rampage is really strong.

Red Sox pitcher Ryan Dempster is a competitor -- so he wasn't gonna just sit back and let L.A. Dodgers star Andre Ethier get away with rocking the ugliest suit during the MLB playoffs .. and today, DEMPSTER OUT-UGLIED ETHIER!

The 36-year-old (2-time All-Star) threw on his loudest orange yellow and brown plaid suit to board the team jet for the trip to St. Louis for Game 3 of the World Series.

Of course, Ethier broke out his finest ugly threads when the Dodgers flew to St. Louis for the NLCS earlier this month ... and they lost.

Ugly suit jinx? Guess we'll have to wait and see.

10:07 AM PT: So get this. We finally heard back from a rep for the Redskins. He said there's no connection between the Bravehearts trademark and the Redskins. He also said Dan Snyder doesn't know the man who filed the trademark. We informed the rep they're neighbors on the same street ... the rep added: they still don't know each other.

Something curious/suspicious is going on with the Washington Redskins ... there's evidence the owner might be caving to pressure to change the name.

Here's what we know. Redskins owner Dan Snyder lives in Potomac, Maryland, a few doors down from a very rich dude, Aris Mardirossian. Aris, a wealthy patent investor, registered the name, WASHINGTON BRAVEHEARTS on October 17th. According to the Trademark application, obtained by TMZSports, Aris plans to use the name for "Entertainment in the nature of football games."

Aris also created a company called Washington Brave Hearts, LLC on the same day -- Oct. 17th. We've also obtained the LLC docs but there are no specifics.

As for the relationship between Aris and Dan, we're told the 2 of them formed a united front on their block a few years back -- both men wanted to cut down trees on their lots but they were being blocked by the county.

Also, we found out both Snyder and Mardirossian attended the University of Maryland ... just at different times.

With all the hubbub over the Redskins name, it's more than curious that a man who has nothing to do with football would suddenly register the name of a football team that would solve his neighbor's problem.

The fate of the Los Angeles Lakers rests in the hands of Kobe Bryant ... which is why it might be concerning that his hands are near the mouth of A LIVE MAN-EATING LION!!!

Kobe faced down the king of the jungle at an L.A. studio today ... during a commercial shoot for Turkish Airlines. Kobe's a celebrity spokesman for the airline.

Check out the pics above ... that's Kobe sticking his right hand (his shooting hand, mind you) directly up to the lion's mouth.

Fortunately, Kobe emerged without a scratch ... and he's lucky ... 'cause as everyone knows, big cats can be dangerous to humans. Just ask Adam Sandler ...

Yasiel Puig threw batting practice for the Texas Rangers on Tuesday -- but not the MLB squad ... the Texas Rangers of Northeast Los Angeles Little League.

The story is pretty awesome ... the team of 8-year-olds were getting ready for their usual 5pm practice when Yasiel unexpectedly dropped by the little league fields at Elysian Park, right next to Dodger Stadium, and asked if he could hang out.

Once the team, the coaches and parents realized who he was (they recognized him instantly) ... the place went crazy and let Yasiel run the practice.

We're told Puig spent 30 minutes signing autographs for everyone -- bats, gloves, hats, shirts, etc. -- and then took the mound and pitched while the kids took turns at bat.

Elin Nordegren is thiiiis close to moving out of her substandard regular-sized mansion and into her North Palm Beach MEGA-MANSION ... 'cause the home Tiger's infidelity funded is almost finished.

New photos of the place show the property is in the final stages. It was reportedly scheduled to be completed in December, but by the looks of things it might be ahead of schedule.

Elin has been living in a $4.25 million pad across the street ever since she purchased the new property for $12 million back in 2012.

As TMZ previously reported, Elin knocked down the original home on the property so she could build her dream house ... a 21,000 square foot mega-home, complete with 9 bedrooms, a 600 sq. ft. theater, 1,182 sq. ft. kitchen and a 460 sq. ft. "ocean loft."

There’s also plenty of room for her two kids… the mansion comes with a 300-square-foot playroom and a 70 ft. by 40 ft. swimming pool with a 12-foot deep end.

And how does she have the money to fund such a gargantuan project? Simple ... she got $100 million in her divorce from Tiger Woods after learning he was bangin' every skank, skalliwag and skeezer he could get his paws on.

For the first time in 7 weeks, NY Giants co-owner Steve Tisch says he FINALLY has a reason to smile ... after his team chalked up its first victory of the season Monday night.

Tisch was out in L.A. last night -- leaving Craig's restaurant in West Hollywood -- when we asked about the gang's big win over the Minnesota Vikings ... boosting the team's record to 1-6.

"I'm smiling, " Tisch said ... "I haven't smiled in 7 weeks."

Tim Tebow is still hard at work ... and is determined to get back into the NFL, so says Tim's brother Robby.

Robby and UFC fighter Brendan Schaub were leaving the Five Four Clothing offices in L.A. yesterday -- when we tried to get some 411 on the unemployed QB.

Robby wasn't the chattiest fellow, but he did say Tim's still taking steps to get back in the league.

As a matter of fact, sources tell TMZ ... Tim spent his Wednesday working out at a facility in L.A.

So where will Tim end up? The Rams? Jacksonville? Cleveland? Buffalo?

Colt Lyerla -- the University of Oregon tight end who left the team earlier this season for "personal reasons" -- was arrested last night after cops say he was blowing lines of cocaine.

Colt -- who was the starting TE going into the 2013 season -- was busted in Lane County, OR after cops say they observed the 6'5", 238-pounder "snorting what appeared to be a white powdery substance" in a parked vehicle.

Cops say the 20-year-old admitted to using and possessing coke. According to the officials, officers say they agreed to meet Colt back at his residence to continue the investigation, but once they got to his place, Colt "ran from the vehicle into a nearby apartment."

Colt was arrested when he emerged from the pad a short time later.

Colt clearly has some personal issues. He was suspended by the Ducks earlier this season before quitting the squad on October 6.

The Boston Red Sox and St. Louis Cardinals are facing off on the field tonight for Game 1 of the 2013 World Series -- but the real battle is between two bearded baseballers.

With beards like this, both teams are clear winners.

Snoop Dogg's son Cordell Broadus -- one of the top high school football prospects in the country -- has been SUSPENDED from playing this week after punching another player in the head during a brawl on Friday night ... TMZ has learned.

16-year-old Cordell -- a junior wide receiver at Diamond Bar High School in CA -- was playing against rival Diamond Ranch HS on 10/18 when a shoving match broke out.

In footage obtained by TMZ, you can see Broadus (wearing #21) charging from the sideline to the middle of the field ... and throwing a haymaker at an opposing player.

After the punch, the situation escalated into a full-blown melee, with both benches clearing. The game was called off with roughly 3 minutes remaining due to the fight.

Now, the fallout is underway.

The California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) -- the body that governs high school football in CA -- has suspended several players from both teams.

Sources tell us ... Cordell Broadus is one of the suspended players.

FYI -- it's a huge blow for Cordell ... who, at 6'3" and 186lbs, is reportedly being recruited by some of the top college programs in the country including Notre Dame, Duke, LSU, Nebraska, UCLA and USC.

We reached out to Snoop's people for comment -- so far, no word back.

There's just no pleasing some people ... so says Washington Redskins receiver Pierre Garcon, who tells TMZ, even when he helps his team win, some fans still have the GALL to bitch about his fantasy performance.

Garcon -- who had 5 catches for 58 yards and no TDs last week -- was out in Virginia yesterday when we talked about certain fans who get angry when their fantasy players post low numbers, even if that player's team won the game.

Pierre cracked a smile and explained his no-win situation ... telling us people complain no matter what, so it doesn't bother him anymore.

Lamar Odom tells TMZ he hasn't been blackballed from the Kardashian family -- and WAS invited to Kanye's big proposal to Kim -- but he CHOSE not to go because he had better things to do that night.

It was just one of the topics Lamar addressed on his way out of the Spitting Chicken Cantina in Sherman Oaks, CA last night ... telling us about his friendship with Kobe, his relationship with his dad and his battle to get back into the NBA.

In fact, L.O. says he believes he's back in playing shape -- telling us, "I can play a basketball game and probably play really well."

He wanted to prove it by showing off his physique -- jokingly asking, "Do you wanna see me with my shirt off or my pants down?"

Don't worry, he didn't follow through on his offer.

YA GOTTA SEE THIS -- we shot former NBA superstar Gilbert Arenas the moment he learned his legendary $111 million contract was ranked THE WORST DEAL in NBA history ... and Gilbert's reaction is absolutely priceless!!

The ex-Washington Wizards star was hanging at the Commons in Calabasas yesterday when we informed him that Yahoo Sports rated him #1 in its list of the "NBA's Worst Contracts of the 21st Century."

Gilbert's reaction -- "I'm number one? Of all time? Well, it could be ... I'm not arguing that it's not."

Arenas is incredibly candid in the clip -- telling us he believes he earned his contract because in the NBA "you get paid on what you DID, not what you're GONNA do."

"What I did to get that contract was different from what I've done since I got that contract."

Arenas is now out of the NBA but tells us, because of the terms of his deal, he'll continue to get paid until 2016.

"I could spend every penny I have in the bank and I still have $38 million coming."

And while Gilbert's clearly in a financial situation where he doesn't HAVE to work, Agent Zero says he enjoys having a job -- and spends his time creating apps and investing his money.

In fact, Gilbert says he's responsible for bringing a pretty popular restaurant chain to California.
