USC is blasting fired football coach Steve Sarkisian in new legal docs ... saying he lied to the school about his battles with the the bottle.

Roy Halladay is firing back at his hero-turned-nemesis, Roger Clemens ... telling TMZ Sports he wasn't a cheater, and Clemens is just trying to deflect.

The former Blue Jays teammates started warring because Halladay tweeted "No Clemens no Bonds" -- due to their alleged steroid use -- the night before the latest Hall of Fame inductees were announced.

Clemens responded by accusing Halladay of "using amphetamines" when they were in Toronto. Roy flatly denies it, and points out Roger is the only person to ever accuse him of using illegal drugs.

“I grew up a huge Clemens fan. Getting to play with him, he became a role model. When I heard that he had cheated, it was like finding out Santa Claus wasn’t real all over again to me.”

Rabid Patriots fan Mark Wahlberg has a tip for his QB and friend, Tom Brady ... do NOT run for public office -- a lesson he might end up learning from Donald Trump.

Mark was leaving The Palm restaurant in Bev Hills when we asked if he thought Brady's backing of Trump might actually sway New England voters.

Andre was also asked about Warthen's claim ... that he didn't want London playing basketball because she'll become a lesbian. Iguodala clarified that he knows WNBA players who are lesbians, and he simply didn't want his daughter to experience "the same struggles" they have.

Former Ultimate Fighter champ Julianna Peña got into a bar brawl with a bunch of guys -- and it got so out of control ... blood was all over the place.

911 callers reported the bantamweight fighter and her trainer Josh Gow were taking on security guards at Zola's in Spokane on Dec. 20. The audio is pretty brutal ... you can actually hear the fight still going behind a caller who said, "They're wiping their bloody faces on the door."

According to cops, Peña and Gow had actually gotten into a fight at a different bar -- with 20 people throwing fists -- and then bolted to Zola's. Security there refused to let them in because it was past closing time.

Cops say Peña -- who won Ultimate Fighter 18 in 2013 -- lunged toward bouncers who were trying to keep them out. She allegedly busted out some MMA moves, kicking 2 of them in the groin.

Samuel L. Jackson says there's no way around it ... Donald Trump's 100% lying about never having played a game of golf with him.

Jackson brushed off Trump's diss at LAX Wednesday. The presidential candidate panned the actor earlier in the day -- denying they ever played golf together at his golf club and trashing his acting.

The whole thing started when Jackson said in an interview he played a round with Trump and accused him of being a cheater on the links.

"Blackish" actor Anthony Anderson jumped to Jackson's defense, saying he'd been part of the golf outing and the two even enjoyed shrimp and hot dogs with The Donald!!

Jackson tells us he's not trying to bring Trump down, but he can't ignore the lie ... saying there's even a trail of proof, including a receipt from the lunch.

Golden State Warriors star Andre Iguodala is on the stand in L.A. to testify in his child support battle with baby mama Clayanna Warthen.

Warthen is looking for $58k per month, up from the $16k Iguodala is paying right now to support their 6-year-old daughter London.

Over the last 2 days, Warthen's testified she needs the increase to pay for more extracurricular activities for London, who she says is a genius with a 151 IQ. She says the money will cover horseback riding, piano lessons, and a vocal coach for their daughter.

Andre's lawyer grilled Warthen about receipts -- she says she throws away most of them, and usually pays for things with cash. She also said all the support money is spent on the little girl ... even though some of the expenses include Sephora makeup and Victoria's Secret.

She was also questioned about the $150k she admits investing in a marketing company called LOC. Iguodala's lawyers said that company has been investigated for drug trafficking, but Warthen said she was unaware of that.

Andre's side thinks Warthen is just trying to take him to the cleaners, while she claims Andre's been neglecting their daughter by not spending enough time with her.

The girlfriend of James Harden/wife of Lamar Odom was being sued by James Ferguson, the Marina Del Rey resident, who claimed his life was turned upside down during a middle-of-the-night fireworks show commissioned by Khloe. He also says the explosions traumatized his dog.

You'll recall ... Khloe threw James Harden a boat party for his 26th birthday and when the clock struck 12 it sounded like a war zone.

Ferguson, who sued Khloe for $7,500 in small claims court, was a no show, so the judge dismissed the case.

She bangs.

Celebrity hair guru Jonathan Antin thinks LeBron James should look to Brian Urlacher for hairspiration ... saying Urlacher fixed his folicaly challenged head ... and LBJ can do the same.

We got Jonathan in the middle of a deluge in L.A. (still with perfect locks of course) and asked about Urlacher's miraculous change ... his brand new (surgically implanted) head of hair.

The convo eventually turned to King James ... and whether or not LeBron should try the same process on his thinning crown.
