The Brandon Marshall vs. Antonio Brown car bet is ONE STEP CLOSER TO HAPPENING ... because the two stars spoke on Thursday to hash out the terms ... TMZ Sports has learned.

After Marshall made the initial bet, Brown told the NY Jets WR to "call me" if he was serious about wagering their expensive cars on who would have more receiving yards in 2016. Marshall put his Porsche against AB's Rolls-Royce.

Turns out, Marshall picked up the phone -- because we just spoke to Brandon who gave us the following statement:

"We spoke yesterday to work out the details of this deal. We'll let you guys know what happens."

He added, "There are so many things that make playing in the NFL fun. One of which is the game within the game. AB has taken the WR position to another level. There are a few guys who won't let him sit on top of the hill by himself. I am one of those guys."

He's currently in the middle of one of the richest contract negotiations in pro sports ... but Thursday night soccer superstar Paul Pogba decided to HIT THE CLUB!!

TMZ Sports has footage of the 23-year-old Juventus player leaving 1 OAK nightclub in Hollywood after 2 AM -- while surrounded by an entourage that was slapping anyone trying to record the guy on their cell phones.

Pogba had reportedly undergone a medical exam while in L.A. -- while Manchester United continued to work on a 5-year deal that would pay the superstar roughly $90 MILLION!

Justin Bieber got a $5 million offer to perform at a Republican event during the GOP Convention, but turned it down after his manager considered quitting and LeBron James urged him to reject it ... sources tell TMZ.

Sources connected with CAA -- the talent agency which reps Bieber and received the offer -- tell us a promoter contacted Justin's people with the offer, saying he would perform for 45 minutes at a venue near Quicken Loans Arena, where the RNC was held.

We're told the promoter assured Justin's people the event was "not political" and Justin would not be endorsing Trump or any GOP policies.

According to the contract, the $5 million was bankrolled by GOP donors. The money was to be paid "up front" -- before Justin even arrived. The donors would also cover production expenses.

It represented the biggest single payday ever for Justin. Or, for that matter, just about any other singer, and he seriously considered doing it ... partly because he's Canadian and didn't have a dog in the fight and partly because of the money.

Manager Scooter Braun, a big Hillary Clinton supporter who even held a fundraiser for her at his L.A. home, had big problems with the offer ... as did CAA. Scooter and CAA felt, regardless of the representations, this was "100 percent political."

We're told Scooter wasn't heavy-handed at first, and talked to Justin about putting Black Lives Matter banners up in the venue. We're told Braun was told he could not display BLM banners, but the donors would accept banners that read "All Lives Matter." The donors also made it clear ... Justin could say nothing disparaging about Trump or the GOP.

Adrien Broner got a big fact rejection from an Ohio judge -- who denied the boxer's request for an early release from jail ... after showing up to court drunk earlier this month.

As we previously reported, Broner was sentenced to 30 days in jail after arriving to court 3 hours late and drunk on July 19th ... on a day where his bowling alley attack case was supposed to be thrown out.

But on Thursday, Broner asked the court to cut him a break and let him out early so he could train for an upcoming fight ... but the judge shut him down hard.

"If I let you go early because you're a sports star, what message does that send? You didn't show up. You were three hours late and drunk. I said 30 days, and 30 is the number," the judge said.

Here's Team France national soccer star Loic Remy explaining why he's all about Hillary Clinton for president ... and then showing off his insane abs.

Remy was out at a Hublot event in L.A. with his Chelsea teammates when he explained why he thinks it would be cool to see Hillary in the White House ... "It's good to have a woman president."

We also asked if he had any workout advice for people at home trying to get some abs -- that's when he busted out his own washboard situation and told us, "I was born with a 6-pack."

It's a good problem to have ... but Dana White says family members are coming out of the woodwork with their hands out after the UFC sold for $4 BILLION ... so he's ignoring their calls!

White was on 'Kimmel' Thursday night -- and was asked how his life has changed now that he's insanely rich (Jimmy estimates he made $360 mil off the deal).

We're guessing Dana was joking about the family -- but says he had a real Howard Hughes moment and locked himself in a hotel room after the deal closed.

He's one of the BEST goalkeepers in the world ... and Chelsea superstar Thibaut Courtois says he's considering moving to the U.S. and playing in the MLS one day.

The 24-year-old superstar was at a Hublot event in L.A. Thursday night -- when we asked if he would ever consider following in the footsteps of stars like David Beckham and Robbie Keane who migrated from the Premiere League to the MLS.

"Yeah, I might retire here," Courtois said ... "It's nice to have an experience abroad of Europe and if I would choose a country to do that it would be here."

Ronda Rousey is NOT with child ... despite rumors perpetuated by rival UFC fighter Cris "Cyborg" Justino, so says UFC prez Dana White.

Early Thursday, Cyborg went to Twitter and wrote, "I keep hearing the rumor @RondaRousey is expecting and no longer fighting #ufc205 if true congrats on the new life."

Ronda has previously talked about having children with her boyfriend, Travis Browne -- but never gave a time frame.

We spoke with White ... who tells us he talked with Ronda on the phone after the Cyborg tweet and she assured him it just ain't true.

Still no word on when she's expected to get back in the Octagon.

Reality star Kim Zolciak and her NFL husband Kroy Biermann say they have the perfect advice for their daughter Brielle ... who's dating a professional athlete.

He's just a regular dude ... don't sweat it.

We got the couple -- family in tow -- arriving at LAX and queried them on whether or not they had any special wisdom for Brielle now that she's seeing Michael Kopech, a minor league baseball pitcher.

Our camera guy seems to think the guys in the minor leagues get around ... but Kim & Kroy clearly DON'T ... saying their advice is the same as it'd be if Brielle was dating a plumber.

BTW -- Kim totally takes it to our camera guy ... calling him out for suggesting that pro athletes get around.

You might remember his little brother, Nick, got DEEP into the fighting world for his role in the TV show "Kingdom" ... with some saying he got good enough for some actual ring time.

The overzealous fan who slapped Justin Timberlake on a golf course was beyond drunk at the time of the incident, according to cops.

TMZ obtained the Douglas County Sheriff's report which says Keith Weglin's BAC was 0.18% when he got to jail ... more than twice the legal limit.

TMZ broke the story ... Keith was nabbed by cops after striking Justin in the face at the American Century Celebrity Pro-Am in Lake Tahoe. He could have gotten off scot-free, but cops say he refused to leave the course ... so, they arrested him for disorderly conduct.

One law enforcement source said Weglin talked himself right into jail. We've reached out to him, but no word back yet.

The Oakland mansion built by baseball legend Joe Morgan is up for sale -- again -- complete with a tennis court, sauna, game room ... and a CARPETED BATHTUB!

The 5,008 square foot home -- with 4 beds and 3.5 bathrooms -- was built back in 1980 ... and has hit the market for $2.8 million.

The property is massive ... and you can probably imagine the parties that went on in that place back in the day.

We got Robbie out in L.A. and talked to him about the little mishap he had recently ... where he freakin' ran out of gas on the streets, and had to be rescued by a good-hearted Angelino.

Robbie big upped Warren Williams -- the dude who helped him out -- on social media, but what our guy (and quite frankly the rest of the world) wanted to know was ... what ELSE does the hero get?

Jacksonville Jaguars running back Denard Robinson says he's "blessed" that he didn't hurt or kill anyone when he crashed his car into a pond earlier this month ... saying, "The situation could have been a lot worse."

Robinson spoke with reporters Thursday about the July 3rd accident -- in which his Impala drifted across several lanes of traffic and crashed into a retention pond. Cops say Robinson and a female passenger were asleep in the sinking car when help arrived.

"I fell asleep at the light ... I was at the light sitting there waiting and I ended up dozing off. It was late at night and I had a busy day. It was one of those days where I should’ve just stayed in."

He was also adamant he was NOT under the influence of drugs or alcohol -- saying, "If that was the case, I would’ve had a DUI."

FYI, Robinson was not arrested -- as the responding officer did not believe Robinson showed signs of intoxication.

Still, Denard says he's happy no one was hurt.

"I feel blessed, because it could have been a situation where I wasn’t talking to you right now ... The situation could’ve been way worse."

"I could’ve hurt somebody or killed somebody, so I’m truly blessed that nothing happened to nobody. I came out with no scratches and my passenger was the same way."

Here's New England Patriots defensive end Jabaal Sheard lining up in front of a 2 POUND monster steak Tuesday -- in what may have been the most delicious charity challenge of his career.

Sheard hit up Smokey Bones Bar & Fire Grill in Tyngsboro, Massachusetts (about an hour from Gillette Stadium) -- where owners offered to give $4,000 to charity if he could finish the whole thing!

We're told people in the restaurant were so pumped -- several customers added to the pot ... which totaled $5,200!

The good news? SHEARD CRUSHED IT ... devouring the entire Flintston chop in 50 minutes!

Keshia Knight Pulliam is demanding the Atlanta home she and Ed Hartwell shared, her pre-marriage possessions and everything she made during their marriage.

In new divorce docs -- obtained by TMZ -- Keshia's asking for all assets she acquired during their marriage -- which is interesting considering most couples split assets accumulated during a marriage.

Keshia also makes a point to demand she be awarded all property and assets she had before the two married, which includes even more 'Cosby' cash.

And get this ... in Ed's divorce filing, he stated they had no kids, but Keshia makes it a point to say a child IS expected of the marriage. In other words ... Ed's the daddy.
