How's this for fate ...

When Paxton Lynch was called off the Broncos bench to make his unexpected NFL debut this weekend, 100 of his closest friends and family members just happened to be in the stands.

Here's the deal ... the Broncos were playing in Tampa Bay -- about 90 minutes from where the Denver rookie went to high school.

100 of the QB's closest friends and family decided to buy tickets to the game to support their boy -- knowing he's the 2nd string QB behind Trevor Siemian ... who's been on fire lately.

Fast forward to the 2nd quarter -- Siemian goes down, Paxton goes in and balls out -- 14 of 24 for 170 yards and a TD ... and his cheering section LOVED IT!!!

"We weren't even expecting him to play," Paxton's mother, Stacie, tells us ... "We just went to show support, and were lucky enough to see him get some action."

"He was excited everyone was able to come!"

We also spoke with Lynch's high school coach, Allen Johnson, who says he wasn't surprised by Paxton's performance -- he'd been preparing like crazy for that moment.

"I talked to him after the game yesterday briefly," Johnson said ... "He said he’s going to be there for the team and not be the reason why they don’t make it back to the Super Bowl."

Verne Troyer lived out a lifelong dream as a die-hard Pittsburgh Steelers fan ... meeting all the players after watching them whoop-up on the Kansas City Chiefs at Heinz Field.

Verne's loved the Steelers since the '70s but never got to a game, so superstar wide receiver Antonio Brown made it happen. We're told Verne watched football with AB all day at his house, then scored pregame sideline passes.

He headed to Brown's suite to watch the Sunday night matchup -- a dominating 43-14 Steelers victory -- and hung out with the team afterward. Check out the pics ... he even met Bob Costas (guess who's taller).

Antonio says Verne brought him good luck -- he scored 2 TDs -- so there's a good chance he'll be back later this season. Keep your Terrible Towel handy, Verne!

MMA legend Ken Shamrock is also a celebrity bodyguard -- and he says if he woulda been on Kim's team, she NEVER would have gotten robbed.

FYI, Shamrock has been working in personal security for years and protected big stars like 50 Cent, Fergie and Kristin Cavallari.

So, with Kim getting robbed in Paris this week -- Shamrock says there were a TON of mistakes made that he would have never let happen.

Philadelphia Eagles linebacker Nigel Bradham spent part of his bye week in jail -- after he was arrested for trying to bring a LOADED GUN through a Miami airport ... TMZ Sports has learned.

According to the police report, obtained by TMZ Sports, the 27-year-old had put his backpack through the X-ray machine at Miami International when TSA workers noticed a loaded firearm.

Bradham told workers he forgot the gun was in the bag -- and showed officials his concealed weapons permit.

Officials say "it was clear that there was no criminal intent on his part" -- but say they could not just cite and release Bradham since he's still out on bond stemming from a July assault case.

Bradham was taken into custody and booked for a 2nd degree misdemeanor concealed weapons charge. He was released from custody later that day on a $500 bond.

This is pretty hilarious ... Ben Affleck's raw reaction when he found out his beloved Patriots were getting spanked by Rex Ryan's Buffalo Bills.

"F***."

It all went down when Affleck was getting ready to do an interview with Sports Illustrated ... and he dared to ask the reporter about the score.

Affleck wasn't just upset that they were losing ... but the fact they were losing to REX RYAN!

Floyd Mayweather was like a human ATM at the Bad Boy Family Reunion concert in Vegas this weekend -- dispensing $100 bills to the crowd ... just because he felt like it.

Lil' Kim was performing "Get Money" when Floyd walked out onstage and began to make it rain. A rep for the boxer told us he threw roughly $9,000 in cash.

So, why?

Floyd's rep says he and Kim are "very good friends" -- and he just wanted to do a nice thing.

8:28 AM PT -- Well, that was quick ... Fury now says the retirement post was just a joke -- and he DOES plan on fighting again.

It's over for Tyson Fury -- the heavyweight champ just announced his retirement in a blaze of anger ... referring to the sport as a "pile of s***t" and inviting his critics to "go suck a d**k."

As we previously reported, 28-year-old Fury pulled out of his rematch with Wladimir Klitschko after testing positive for cocaine on Sept. 22nd.

Fury's been taking all sorts of heat in the media -- and moments ago, lashed out.

"Boxing is the saddest thing I ever took part in, all a pile of s**t, I'm the greatest, & I'm also retired, so go suck a d**k, happy days."

Fury hasn't denied the cocaine allegations -- in fact, he changed his Twitter avatar to put his face on Tony Montana's body from that famous mound of coke scene from "Scarface."

If Kevin Garnett wants a coaching job on the Clippers ... it's his for the taking -- so says Doc Rivers.

With KG having dropped by the Clippers training facility last week to help Blake Griffin work on his jump shot -- we asked Rivers if he's had a more serious convo with the NBA legend about a job.

Here's Tiger Woods hanging with Paulina Gretzky at a Ryder Cup celebration party -- which begs the question ... where's Dustin Johnson???

Ex-NY Jets cornerback Dee Milliner -- who was cut from the team last month -- was involved in an early morning bar brawl in Alabama over the weekend ... TMZ Sports has learned.

Millbrook PD chief P.K. Johnson tells TMZ Sports ... Milliner was at Dooley's Pub when a fight broke out early Saturday morning. Cops were called to the bar for a "large scale disturbance" at 3:56 AM.

According to Johnson, the bar staff had asked a patron to leave -- but the person refused -- and got violent while being escorted out.

Johnson would NOT verify if that patron was Milliner.

However, we're told Milliner was at the bar at the time and allegedly involved in the brawl in some capacity.

We're told 2 people were hospitalized with minor injuries. Other people suffered light wounds. No arrests were made. Most people left the scene when cops arrived.

At this point, no one seems to be pressing charges.

More trouble for ex-boxing champ Zab Judah -- he's been charged with domestic violence for allegedly getting violent with his wife while drunk ... TMZ Sports has learned.

According to the police report, obtained by TMZ Sports, the Las Vegas Metro PD was called to Judah's home around 3 AM on July 26 for a domestic disturbance.

Cops made contact with Zab -- who said he got into an argument with his wife after she destroyed "all of his clothes" because she was jealous of an unknown woman claiming she had a baby with Zab.

Zab was adamant he did not touch his wife.

But Zab's wife and sister told cops a different story -- claiming the boxer had been drinking and pushed her to the ground by her face ... causing her to hit the floor hard.

According to the police report, the responding officer did not notice any injuries on the woman -- but said she kept touching her face as if she was in pain.

Judah was eventually arrested and charged with misdemeanor battery/domestic violence. He's due back in court next month.

This is just the latest legal issue for Judah -- who's still dealing with a 2014 DUI arrest ... and was also involved in a bizarre crash back in January where he gave a fake name and appeared drunk.

LeBron James might be the 2nd most famous person at Cavs games this year ... because Khloe Kardashian was courtside in Cleveland.

Khloe showed up to watch Tristan Thompson in the Cavs annual Wine and Gold scrimmage on Sunday.

While the Patriots went down in flames to the Buffalo Bills on Sunday, Tom Brady threw on the pads for a private workout at a high school in Brookline, MA.

Of course, Brady was suspended for the first 4 games of the season for that whole DeflateGate thing .. but he's set to make his comeback next week in Cleveland (sorry Browns fans).

Rory McIlroy was in no mood for hecklers Saturday at the Ryder Cup ... especially when someone in the peanut gallery yelled, "suck a d***."

You really have to listen closely to the video ... someone screams "SUCK!!!" which is then followed by a guy with a low voice, commanding, "Suck a d***."

The guy in the striped shirt seems to be the offender, and he was yanked from the crowd by security and removed.
