Shareef O'Neal says he's not only ready to take on LeBron James in a 1-on-1 match -- he's VERY confident he could get buckets on the King and says Bron should call him to set it up!!

It was just a few years ago when Reef was 15 that he told us his dream was to play against Bron -- and now that he's closer to making that happen, we asked how he thinks he'd do.

FYI, Shareef is 17 -- one of the best high school players in America -- and just committed to play college ball at the University of Arizona after his senior year.

The good news ... Shareef's clearly got some of Shaq's confidence -- telling us he would easily rack up some points on the NBA legend.

But the best part of the video is the end when Shareef delivers a message to Bron -- "You know how to contact me. I'm ready for a game."

Ex-Louisville star Kevin Ware says breaking his leg at the height of his college career "sucked for me" -- and says he's 100% confident he'd be in the NBA if not for that terrible moment.

24-year-old Ware is currently playing overseas and believes he still has the talent and drive to make it to the league ... but says he knows that fateful moment changed the trajectory of his career.

The moment made international headlines -- when Ware gruesomely snapped his right leg through the skin while Louisville was playing Duke in the Elite 8 ... a game watched by millions.

Ware says he believes everything happens for a reason -- but his dream is to play with the best in world and he's asking for NBA teams to give him a shot.

Russell Wilson and Ciara don't give a crap what the Internet says about their family ... baby Future's gonna hang with his stepdad whether you like it or not.

Ciara posted this video Sunday afternoon of Future Jr. getting his Mother's Day on with Russ right next to him. Yeah, the kid's cute as hell, but this clip's more significant than that.

Russell caught some heat from online trolls who thought he was out of line for including Future's son when he said, "our kids."

Kendall Jenner nearly had a seriously awkward moment when she and A$AP Rocky ended up at the same party as her ex, Lakers guard Jordan Clarkson -- except Jordan had the smoothest reaction.

The trio were all at the Peppermint Club in WeHo Saturday night. Remember, Jordan and Kendall were a thing just last fall ... so you could understand him not being too thrilled to see her with her new guy.

But score one for Jordan ... we got him as his car was pulled around, and asked about bumping into Kendall. His reply was basically, "I'm a playa!" And then he piled into his ride with 3 hot chicks!

Meanwhile ... Kendall and A$AP did the sneak out separately thing trying to avoid cameras. Fail.

Russell Wilson simply tried to wish his wife, Ciara, a happy Mother's Day, but some Future fans are giving him flak for seemingly claiming the rapper's son as his.

Russell's note on social media to Ciara said, "Nothing better than spending time with you. You are an amazing mom & I'm so grateful." Good so far.

Then, he added, "I get to spend the rest of my life with you & raising our kids. I love you!"

The "our" is what has haters jumping on Russ, not-so-kindly reminding him he shouldn't claim another man's kid. In Russell's defense, baby Future spends a majority of his time with mom and stepdad ... thanks to the custody settlement.

On the other hand ... Russ's fans were also quick to jump to his defense.

Robert Griffin III popped the question to the Florida State University track star during a day out to the beach in Fort Lauderdale ... popping the question while decked out in a red suit.

Obviously, Grete said 'Yes' ... and then posted a statement saying, "Today was the happiest day of my life and the last 8 months have been the most exciting time ever."

She also said, "We are one month away from welcoming our beautiful baby into this world."

This will be RG3's second marriage ... in fact, he JUST finalized his divorce from his college sweetheart Rebecca Liddicoat. They have 1 kid together.

RG3 and Grete's relationship took off quickly -- remember, they got tattoos of each other's names just months into dating.

Scary moment for the Arizona Diamondbacks Friday night ... when catcher Chris Iannetta got hit in the MOUTH with a 93 mph fastball.

Iannetta was on the ground for several minutes with blood dripping from his face.

He was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment -- but appears to be okay.

After the game, D-Backs manager Torey Lovullo said Iannetta was up and walking around.

"Anytime there's head trauma, anytime a pitch hits you in that area, you are never comfortable until a diagnosis is made. So we're using every precaution possible to make sure he's okay."

Lorenzo Fertitta -- the former co-owner of the UFC -- says he supports Dana White's plan to pay Mayweather $100 mil and McGregor $75 mil if they fight ... saying, "They deserve it!"

You know Lorenzo's story ... he and his brother, Frank, invested $2 mil into the UFC back in 2001 before selling it for $4 BILLION in 2016.

He's now launching his own private investment firm but he's still very into the UFC -- and has strong opinions on Conor McGregor, Jon Jones, Daniel Cormier and Anderson Silva.

Charles Barkley is taking time to shout-out a woman whose charitable contribution made a great impact on his life ... his high school prom date.

We got Barkley in NYC and asked him who he went to prom with ... and not only did he remember, he reminisced about the woman he says showed "mercy" on a short little nobody named Charles.

The woman's name is Amy Shorter ... and TMZ Sports was actually able to track her down and ask her about the date ... which Barkley says was the only one he had during high school.

"I only have great things to say about Charles, we were just teenagers at the time ... I was just a sweet little sophomore who was thrilled to be asked to the prom by my friend, a big sweet senior."

Seems like there's still a flame there ... we're just sayin'.

A championship level boxer -- signed with Mayweather Promotions -- says he's so broke, he's driving Uber to make ends meet.

The fighter is Thomas Dulorme -- whose last fight in January was on Showtime Extreme. Before that, he had fought Terrance Crawford ... one of the top fighters in the world.

So, you can imagine how crazy it was when a boxing fan ordered up an Uber in Vegas back in April and recognized Dulorme in the driver's seat.

Dulorme explained that he was part of Floyd's famous TMT (The Money Team), but says, "I'm part of the team. Not the money."

TMZ Sports spoke with the 27-year-old who says he's explored breaking his deal with TMT -- but he believes it would cost him too much money ... money he doesn't have in the first place.

We reached out to Mayweather Promotions for their side of the story but haven't heard back.

Clearly, there are issues here.

By the way, the passenger in the video tells TMZ Sports he gave Dulorme a good rating on Uber.

It wasn't a little slipup after all ... Jon Jones says he blew lines all weekend long before beating Daniel Cormier at UFC 182 back in 2015.

Jones said the drug bender was part of something he called "a month for the ages" -- explaining how he did a "weekend of cocaine" and then beat Cormier the following weekend.

FYI, Jones had previously admitted the cocaine use after the positive drug test was revealed back in '15 -- but played it down as a one-time slipup saying, "I'm not a cocaine addict by any means or not even a frequent user."

Cormier called Jones a junkie and accused him of also "sandblasting prostitutes" the same weekend. Jones denied sandblasting any prostitutes.

They will fight in July.

2:52 PM PT -- Daniel Cormier says he smacked Jon Jones in the face with a water bottle behind the scenes at the big UFC news conference Friday ... all over comments Jon made about his kid.

"He's a bitch," Cormier said ... "He said something about my kid so I smacked him across the face with a water bottle. Bitch ass n**ga."

Daniel Cormier will finally get his rematch with Jon Jones -- the UFC announced it's happening at UFC 214 in July.

It's one of the most heated rivalries in pro sports -- these guys hate each other with a fiery passion.

Cormier says Jon is a drug abusing, lying, cheating bad person. Jon once invited Daniel to perform oral sex on him.

Jon emerged victorious the first time they fought back in January 2015. Cormier has vowed to avenge the loss ever since.
