Where there's smoke, there's a brand new celeb couple -- Aaron Rodgers and "Newsroom" star Olivia Munn ... who kissed each other in public this weekend, proving the dating rumors are apparently TRUE.

The Green Bay Packers quarterback was cuddling up with Munn -- who's been on the cover of everything from Maxim to Shape and even Playboy -- on the L.A. set of Munn's HBO show.

Beast Mode was switched to the "off" position at a San Francisco nightclub this weekend ... so says a famous rapper who tells us Marshawn Lynch was in the building during a heated altercation between two rival rap crews, but the RB kept his nose clean.

TMZ Sports spoke with Mistah F.A.B. ... who was at Mezzanine nightclub when things got heated between his crew and D.J. Mustard's crew during a Sunday night event called "Young California."

Sources told FantasyAlarm.com that Lynch, F.A.B. and their friends rushed Mustard and his crew and attacked them over comments Mustard made on a NYC radio station.

While F.A.B. tells us there was definitely high tensions between the two crews -- things never came to blows ... with the rappers adamant that Marshawn was NOT involved in anything physical.

NY Mets 2nd baseman Daniel Murphy says his teammates gave him HELL after his son was born back in April -- but not because he missed games, it's for something much worse.

Former Olympic swimmer Amy Van Dyken is in intensive care at an Arizona hospital -- after suffering serious injuries in an ATV crash.

The 41-year-old -- who's married to former Denver Broncos punter Tom Rouen -- was riding in Show Low, AZ on Friday when she crashed.

Amy's sister posted a message on Facebook saying she was airlifted to a hospital in Scottsdale. She is currently being treated in the intensive care unit, according to AZcentral.com.

Van Dyken is a national hero -- who won gold medals at the '96 and 2000 games.

Johnny Manziel continued to crush it this weekend ... partying his face off at a pool party in Austin with a smokin' hot chick ... who appeared to be clingin' to the NFL star for dear life.

TMZ Sports has footage from Rio Austin -- a rooftop pool, restaurant and lounge -- where the Cleveland Browns QB kicked it before attending the NBA finals game in San Antonio on Sunday.

Woods was scheduled to take part in a card game at the Rio on Sunday ... but according to reports EMTs were spotted giving him oxygen before the event while Woods pointed to his chest.

James tweeted about the incident afterward saying he flagged down the medics for help after he experienced sudden cardiac related symptoms.

Ex-NBA star Joe Smith -- the #1 overall pick in the '95 draft -- is spittin' a new rap verse directed right at Justin Bieber ... calling out the pop star over the racist song he recorded when he was 15 ... and only TMZ Sports has it.

WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross was hospitalized Thursday for mysterious '"stroke-like symptoms" ... but after a few days of extensive testing, doctors were able to pinpoint the source of the legendary announcer's problem.

Ross says he got home from a trip to Vegas Thursday night and wasn't feeling well ... so his wife forced him to go to a nearby hospital in Oklahoma to get checked out.

Doctors ran a battery of tests on the 62-year-old and ultimately determined the symptoms were being caused by meds he had been taking for an unrelated medical issue.

Doctors also informed Ross ... the tests showed he had suffered a minor undiagnosed stroke in the past.

Ross' doctors are confident they fixed the problem -- changed his medication -- and the podcast-host was released from the hospital Saturday evening.

Mel Gibson was all smiles at UFC Fight Night 42 ... flanked by some pretty hot ring girls.

Gibson was front and center for the Henderson/Khabilov main card in Albuquerque. Mel hung out with some of the fighters, include Clay Guida and Cub Swanson.

With his criminal record expunged in the whole Oksana Grigorieva thing ... Mel seems care-free.

UFC fighter Tom Lawlor is about to make pro wrestling a lot more filthy ... 'cause a popular federation is close to inking a permanent deal with the MMA bad ass.

Lawlor ... or as UFC fans know him, "Filthy" ... made a special appearance at an ROH Wrestling event last month managing a tag team, and we're told he's been negotiating a permanent deal ever since.

Our sources say Lawlor got UFC's blessing to work with ROH during his downtime ... and he's excited to continue working with the reDRagon duo. For now he'll only be managing, but could still see some ring action from time to time.

We're told the deal is close to being finalized ... and Filthy is expected to appear at ROH's PPV "Best in the World" later this month.

Some people say his fists should legally be considered "deadly weapons" ... but UFC legend Chuck Liddell says he won't let that stop him from defending himself in a dangerous situation outside of the ring.

The Iceman was out in Calabasas when we asked about the notion that trained fighters should always turn the other cheek in a street brawl because if he fights back ... he could be hit with more serious criminal charges.

FYI -- back in 2012, MMA fighter Fernando Rodrigues was involved in a road rage incident -- and the judge ruled that his hands and feet should be considered "deadly weapons" because of his extensive fighting experience.

But Liddell told us, "I still have a right to defend myself ... and uh, don't forget ... I'm a fighter first ... so I WILL protect myself."
