WHAT'S NEXT!?

Sorry Pacquiao ... Conor McGregor says his putting his boxing career on hold for a bit -- because he wants his next bout to be a "real fight."

Conor was out with his baby mama Dee Devlin in NYC when he was asked about his fighting future -- and rumors he's hammering out a deal to box Manny Pacquiao.

But McGregor shot that down real fast -- insulting the sweet science in the process ... saying, "I think a true fight is what I want to do next."

He added, "MMA next."

The big question ... who's up first in the UFC? Nate Diaz? Tony Ferguson? Tyron Woodley??

One thing's for sure ... Conor ain't down with the WWE -- and had a short 4-letter word for Vince McMahon's company.

Ex-Yankees Outfielder Sues White Sox Over Brutal Injury During MLB Debut

Published | Updated

Ex-Yankees OF Dustin Fowler is out for revenge against Chicago White Sox over a horrific injury suffered in his MLB debut ... when he slammed his knee into an electrical box while chasing a fly ball.

22-year-old Fowler was a huge prospect for the Yanks -- which expected BIG things from him when he made his MLB debut on June 29, 2017, when NY played the White Sox at Guaranteed Rate Field.

After a 3-hour rain delay, Fowler started at right field -- and made headlines when he crashed into a metal electrical box while chasing Jose Abreu's foul ball in the 1st inning.

Fowler collapsed when he tried to put weight on his leg -- and was carted off the field. He never got his 1st at bat and missed the rest of the season. He's since been traded to the Oakland A's.

Fowler was reportedly diagnosed with an open rupture of the patellar tendon in his right knee which required emergency surgery.

Now, Fowler is suing both the Sox and the Illinois Sports Facilities Authority, which owns the park.

In his suit, Fowler claims the "exposed box was positioned at a hazardous location" -- between the padded right field wall and the padded rail, at knee level.

He claims both defendants had a duty to make the field safe for players -- and they failed. Now, he wants a ton of money to make things right.

By the way, Fowler is expected to make a complete recovery by the time Spring Training 2018 begins.

HE PICKED THE WRONG GUY

Here's a painful lesson on why you should NEVER get in a street fight -- courtesy of UFC star "Platinum" Mike Perry.

We asked Platinum -- who fights this weekend at UFC on FOX 26 -- to give us the lowdown on if he's ever had to throw down outside the Octagon ... and the story he hit us with was Oscar-worthy.

It all went down on a New Year's Eve in DT Orlando ... when Mike and his GF, "Platinum Princess" Danielle Nickerson, were out celebrating on the streets.

Perry says a random guy was dumb enough to hit on Danielle when they were clearly together ... and fire on Platinum after he told him to step off!

Mike says he fired back with a left hook from hell ... and you can guess how that turned out.

The whole thing's pretty hilarious. Also, kinda terrifying.

Johnson completely believes Brown can eventually pass Rice's record of 22,895 career yards ... and explains exactly what needs to happen in order to actually get those numbers.

Joe Mixon Went On $200k Jewelry Spree Before NFL Draft ... Lawsuit Says

Published | Updated

Joe Mixon was so confident he was gonna sign a big NFL contract before the 2017 Draft -- he dropped nearly $200,000 on some insane jewelry ... this according to a lawsuit obtained by TMZ Sports.

Remember, before the Bengals selected the RB with the 48th pick -- there were serious questions on whether a team would pull the trigger based on his violent 2014 incident with a female Oklahoma student.

But Mixon wasn't questioning himself ... and allegedly made at least 3 major purchases in February, March and early April which included the following items:

-- Custom diamond Rolex ($25,000)

-- Custom diamond necklace ($20,000)

-- Second Rolex watch ($16,000)

-- Men's gold and diamond tennis bracelet ($35,000)

-- Gold and diamond dog chain ($22,000)

Problem is ... when it came to pay the $190k bill, Mixon only ponied up around $100k, according to the jewelry broker, Eleow Hunt.

Hunt says he's been pestering Mixon for the $85k balance -- but he keeps getting crickets.

Of course, Mixon ended up signing a 4-year $5.45 million contract -- so, he's got the money.

We reached out to Mixon's rep who says he's unaware of the lawsuit.

Ray Allen Accuser Drops Stalking Case

Published | Updated

The man who accused Ray Allen of making violent threats against him after their alleged relationship went sour is backing off -- he's dropped his case against the NBA star, TMZ Sports has learned.

As we previously reported, Bryant Coleman got a temporary restraining order against Allen in Florida after telling the court Ray sent men after him and made violent threats over the phone.

Coleman had previously told TMZ Sports he believed his life was in danger.

Ray had always maintained the allegations were B.S. -- and that Coleman is the real bad guy ... who catfished him in a scheme to get private information from the NBA star.

Now, we've obtained court documents which show Coleman has voluntarily dropped his restraining order -- though he doesn't explain why the change of heart.

Ray's attorney, David Markus, tells us, "We are pleased Coleman voluntarily dismissed the injunction and false claims he made against Ray Allen."

"Ray has never met Coleman. Ray Allen has never spoken with Coleman. Ray has never threatened him or anyone. He wants nothing to do with him and is looking forward to putting this matter behind him."

ALL CHILL

Here's a video the NFL should show at the 2018 Rookie Symposium -- NY Giants WR Brandon Marshall being cussed at in NYC by a heckler ... and he handles it like a champ.

It all started when an NYPD officer approached Brandon's Rolls-Royce and started to write him a parking ticket. Like anyone, the WR wasn't happy about it.

A fan spotted the incident and started recording. He then asked Brandon for a selfie, but the NFL star wasn't in the mood (obviously) and declined.

The fan turned on Marshall and yelled at him, "That's why your team sucks, man. That's why your team sucks!"

He added, "What's y'all record?! F*cking bum!"

But, Marshall smartly kept his cool and walked away ... only saying one thing to the heckler, "Go to work." He left the situation without incident.

This had all the makings of a situation that could have gone very south ... and it didn't.

Props to BM.

Let's be real ... it definitely looks like a dong.

LeBron James Lonzo Dunk Prediction Comes True

Published | Updated

LeBron James might just be Nostradamus ... because he predicted Lonzo Ball would run from the wrath of a royal thunder dunk ... and in Thursday night's game, Ball did just that.

LBJ made the prognostication while visiting kids at the Cleveland Clinic (awesome guy) earlier this week when a brave young man named Andrew asked him to dunk on Lonzo.

"He might not be in my way! Once he sees I'm about to take off, he might move out the way."

Fast forward to the 2nd quarter of the Lakers vs. Cavs game on Thursday night -- 'Bron gets a pass from J.R. Smith and barrels towards the basket ... and this happens.

To be fair to Lonzo -- lets be real, he made a smart decision.

Vikings' Anthony Barr Violent Hate Mail for Rodgers Injury 'Hope You Snap Your Neck'

Published | Updated

Packers fans are still pissed about Anthony Barr laying out Aaron Rodgers ... but one Cheesehead took it WAY too far in a disturbing hate letter for the Vikings star.

The violent threats were masked as a piece of fan mail -- wishing for Barr to get put in a wheelchair when the Vikes come to Lambeau Field next weekend.

"Proud of yourself? You're a piece of sh*t. You didn't have to throw him to the ground and purposely come down on top of him. Did you jump for joy when heard his (collarbone) crack?"

"SOB bastard. Come 12/23, hope you get your neck snapped. Remember Darryl Stingley? Your payback is coming. Piece of sh*t. Packers."

FYI, Stingley's an ex-NFLer who had his career (and life) cut short by a spinal cord injury.

Barr's tackle was kinda sketch, but with Rodgers ready to come back ... aggro, much??

IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION

This clip with Joel McHale sums up the NFL's problem with Thursday Night Football in a nutshell -- he knows it's dangerous for the players ... but he loves the sport too much to stop watching.

McHale is a footballaholic -- but with huge names like Drew Brees and Richie Incognito calling for an end to the mid-week game due to a spike in injuries, we asked Joel if he would support one less day of the NFL.

The short answer ... no.

McHale was a tight end for the Washington Huskies back in college -- so, he knows what he's talking about when it comes to the risks of the sport.

But this is exactly the battle Brees, Incognito and others are facing -- fans can't get enough of the game ... despite the burden it puts on the players.
