Suspected Charlie Kirk Shooter Tyler Robinson's Court Hearing Garb ... No Ligature To Hang Himself

Suspected Charlie Kirk shooter Tyler Robinson wore a strange outfit during his first court appearance Tuesday -- and we're told his smock was designed so he couldn't hang himself.

Robinson appeared virtually in a green suicide prevention smock from the Utah County Jail, where he's been locked up in the Special Housing Unit since his arrest last week, accused of fatally shooting Kirk, according to authorities.

During Tuesday's hearing, Robinson was seated in a room facing the camera, which showed him from his head to his torso dressed in the green smock, also referred to as anti-ligature clothing.

Constance Wu Should Be Curtains for Andrew ... Over Broadway Casting Drama

Published | Updated

Constance Wu is calling on Andrew Barth Feldman to take action after his casting in Broadway's "Maybe Happy Ending" sparked controversy ... though, she's doubtful her words will spark action.

If you missed the drama ... Feldman stepped into the lead role of Oliver for the Tony-winning musical this month, taking over for Darren Criss -- who is of Asian descent and originated the part on Broadway. This casting news sent waves throughout the Broadway community, given the role has traditionally been played by Asian actors since its initial conception in South Korea.

Feldman -- who is now starring opposite current girlfriend Helen J. Shen in "Maybe Happy Ending" -- has yet to address the controversy publicly ... though, has seemingly discussed the situation behind closed doors.

Or, at least, this is what Wu is saying ... revealing in a new Instagram post that she and Feldman had a back-and-forth about the drama over the phone.

The "Crazy Rich Asians" star says they had "an in-depth call about Asian American representation and erasure in theater," as well as exchanged a few texts and emails.

However, she's now "feeling pretty discouraged" about the situation ... blaming one recent voice memo from Feldman.

While Wu acknowledged it may be unfair to put the responsibility on ABF's shoulders, given the casting issue is his producers' problem, she called on him to do the responsible thing ... especially as thousands, including BD Wong, are petitioning for him to exit the production.

She added ... "It's hard to keep speaking up when it feels like no one is listening anymore in this new era. It's exhausting and increasingly lonely. Once again, Asian Americans are left unheard, unacknowledged, invisible. Sadly, we're used to this."

Before signing off her note, she sent a direct message to Feldman ... "Silence is a choice."

Waiting for your permission to load the Instagram Media.

The "Maybe Happy Ending" team has defended their casting decision, however ... reminding audiences that the character Oliver is a robot and wasn't created to only be played by an Asian actor.

We've reached out to Feldman for comment ... so far, no word back.

Snoop Dogg Abruptly Cancels New Zealand Show ... After Promoter Found Guilty of Sexual Assault

Published

Snoop Dogg has axed his New Zealand concert just 3 days before he was supposed to hit the stage ... after the show's promoter was reportedly found guilty of sexually assaulting his children's babysitter following multiple related accusations.

The "Drop It Like It's Hot" hitmaker was scheduled to perform at the Due Drop Events Centre in Manukau, Auckland, NZ on Saturday ... but the promoter, 4ward Entertainment, announced Wednesday the event had been cancelled due to "circumstances beyond" its control, stating ... "Our goal was to deliver a first-class, New Zealand-first show and we are saddened this is no longer possible."

The abrupt cancellation comes just a week after local promoter Pato Alvarez was revealed as the previously unnamed "entertainment industry figure" accused of sexually assaulting multiple women, according to multiple reports. Stuff reports Alvarez faced 25 charges involving nine women ... he was convicted on two charges of indecent assault and attempted unlawful sexual connection involving his babysitter in 2023, which has just recently come to light.

Alvarez's fought to keep his identity sealed, but the Supreme Court of New Zealand rejected his motion early last week, The New Zealand Herald reported.

The outlet also reported women were encouraging others to boycott any music events he was promoting after his name was released.

Alvarez gushed to Stuff just last week that he was behind Snoop's upcoming gig in NZ, gloating ... “Snoop Dogg’s team contacted us directly, wanting to stop in New Zealand for a special performance on his way to Australia."

The outlet reports Alvarez was also involved in the cancelled Juicy Festival, which was cut after promoters failed to obtain a liquor license.

TMZ has reached out to Snoop's team for comment ... so far, no word back.
