Fresh off Bad Bunny's anti-ICE statements at the Grammy Awards, Roger Goodell doesn't anticipate an encore during the Super Bowl Halftime Show ... telling reporters he feels the music superstar will use the stage to unite, not divide, the crowd.

The NFL commish was asked on Monday about Benito's political acceptance speech at Sunday's event ... and whether he was anticipating a similar message being conveyed when he takes the field at Levi's Stadium on Feb. 8.

Goodell said Mr. Bunny was right for the gig for two reasons -- BB is "one of the greatest artists in the world" -- but he also "understood the platform he was on, and this platform is used to unite people and be able to bring people together with their creativity, with their talents and to be able to use this moment to do that."

Bad Bunny sent fans into a frenzy with one flashy "engagement" ring at the Grammys this weekend ... but the only lucky thing he took home last night was his album trophy ... TMZ has learned.

A source familiar with the situation tells TMZ the global superstar is not engaged ... despite fans going into full detective mode after spotting a ring on that finger during the awards show.

The ring sparked speculation almost immediately online, with fans questioning whether BB had quietly proposed to a mystery lover after flashing the jewelry throughout the night. But according to our source, there’s no romantic milestone behind it.

Alex Pretti's shooting death in Minnesota has officially been classified as homicide ... according to the medical examiner in the case.

A new document from the Hennepin County Medical Examiner says Pretti's manner of death is homicide.

The doc, obtained by TMZ, lists "multiple gunshot wounds" as the cause of death ... and under the section "how injury occurred" medical examiner Dr. Andrew Baker wrote, "Shot by law enforcement officer(s)."

CBS has concluded its reopened "Matlock" investigation into the sexual assault report that got David Del Rio canned from the series ... and the actor is eager to know the outcome.

TMZ broke the news ... Del Rio was booted from the hit show last October, after the star had been accused of sexually assaulting actress Leah Lewis on Paramount property days earlier. Del Rio vehemently denied the allegations, hiring high-powered attorney Shawn Holley ... and CBS reopened its investigation in November and more parties were interviewed -- including David himself alongside Holley.

Sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ ... the investigation has concluded -- again -- but Del Rio feels the powers that be are dragging their feet after he claims to have submitted evidence that would clear his name. We hear he's instructed his team to request that CBS give them their findings, which we're told are expected by the end of this week.

3:37 PM PT -- NFL commissioner Roger Goodell was just asked about Tisch's emails ... and he stopped short of calling it a full-blown investigation into the matter.

The NFL is breaking its silence on the emails between New York Giants co-owner Steve Tisch and Jeffrey Epstein ... stating its office will "look into the matter to understand the facts."

The development comes after Tisch confirmed he had "a brief association" with Epstein ... saying the two exchanged messages about "adult women, and in addition, we discussed movies, philanthropy and investments."

"I did not take him up on any of his invitations and never went to his island," he said. "As we all know now, he was a terrible person and someone I deeply regret associating with."

Reverend Jordan Wells has been an NFL fan his whole life ... but he told us he's boycotting the Super Bowl this year -- and not because his beloved Kansas City Chiefs didn't make it ... it's because Bad Bunny's headlining the halftime show.
