Jon Moxley's job Wednesday night was to entertain the masses with a gruesome wrestling match ... and it's safe to say, he nailed the assignment.

The AEW superstar clashed with his nemesis, Adam Copeland, in a Street Fight during "Dynamite" in Omaha, Neb. ... and he put on quite the painful show.

Per the rules of the match, the two were allowed to use weapons ... so, at one point, Copeland brought out a spiked board and tossed Moxley directly onto it.

Sorry, Drake fans ... but the NCAA isn't budging on its stance against live mascots at the Big Dance -- the org. tells TMZ Sports despite a petition and his undeniable cuteness, rules are rules.

For those unfamiliar with the policy, the NCAA has banned live mascots from the tourney's early rounds ... and will only make exceptions for the Final Four games, as the host venue would be more able to accommodate an animal's needs.

Jufko broke down the unexpected scenario for us this week ... saying a stadium staffer was going about her job when, all of a sudden, she went into labor.

Jufko -- who has 17 years of experience in the NFL and MLB -- explained he got the call in the command center ... and everyone immediately sprang into action to help deliver the baby.

In a new court filing, obtained by TMZ Sports, Jordan and his attorneys revealed the 34-year-old has been dealing with "challenges" related to his "alcohol/substance use" ... and now, he wants a judge to order him to complete a Pre-Trial Substance Abuse Education and Treatment Intervention Program in an effort to help him with these issues.

Jordan's attorneys argued the program would "not only benefit him personally but also serve the community by reducing the likelihood of future offenses." They added in the documents that Michael's son "is amenable to treatment."
