An insomniac Cardi hopped into X Spaces early Tuesday morning to vent to her fans about how much trauma Offset caused her in their last few years and admit had she not left him, she'd be in jail -- for MURDER.

Wake Forest baseball coach Tom Walter is owning up to hurling a homophobic slur during Monday's game against Tennessee ... saying his words do not reflect his character.

Walter was caught on camera seemingly referring to someone as a "f***ing f****t" as he stood in the dugout ... right before a Volunteers player hit a two-run homer.

There's speculation Walter issued the words toward the home plate umpire he had an exchange with earlier in the outing.

If Moriah Mills does ultimately decide to file a lawsuit against Zion Williamson, Tony Buzbee will not be the attorney representing her ... TMZ Sports has learned the famed lawyer has declined to take her case.

Mills had contacted Buzbee recently about potential litigation against the NBA superstar ... but in a statement Tuesday, Buzbee said he will not be adding her to his client list.

"A member of our staff spoke to her," he said. "After review we declined to take her case."

Shohei Ohtani paid tribute to Japanese baseball legend Shigeo Nagashima ... who passed away on Tuesday at the age of 89.

Ohtani mourned Nagashima's death on his Instagram ... sharing three photos of himself and the Yomiuri Giants great posing together. Two of the images were from February, when the Dodgers were in Japan to take on the Chicago Cubs during the Tokyo Series.

The third featured a throwback photo of Nagashima and Ohtani ... and the Dodgers slugger captioned the post, "May your soul rest in peace."

DeAngelo Miles, a high school football standout and team captain, was fatally shot in Chicago this weekend ... just days after graduation.

The Chicago Police Department says it received a call regarding a person shot at the 11900 block of S. Wallace on Sunday around 3 AM ... and when officers arrived, a witness stated they had located a teen in the alley after hearing gunshots.

"The witness relocated to where the victim was and discovered the victim unresponsive on the ground with a gunshot wound to the head," the CPD spokesperson told us.

Tyreek Hill's estranged wife, Keeta Vaccaro, is seemingly making it clear she's not bothered by the NFL star apparently moving on with another woman.

Chase unexpectedly died inside his dormitory at Chicago's DePaul University Monday morning, according to the school's newspaper, The DePaulia.

DePaul President Rob Manuel reportedly announced the tragedy in a university-wide email, describing him as someone "known for his warmth, strength of character, and vibrant presence."
