The Dodgers are still a few wins away from a World Series title, but they sure partied like they had just won the whole shebang on Thursday night ... celebrating their NLDS win with a wild beer and champagne party.

Just minutes after L.A. beat the Phillies on a walk-off error at Dodger Stadium ... they hit their locker room to delete a bunch of bottles of Budweiser and bubbly.

The guys sprayed the booze in epic fashion -- dousing one another for several minutes.

Loyola-Chicago legend Sister Jean -- who became a national sensation as the chaplain and superfan of the university's men's basketball team -- has died.

Loyola University Chicago announced in a statement Sister Jean Dolores Schmidt passed away on Thursday.

Mark C. Reed -- the university's president -- says, "In many roles at Loyola over the course of more than 60 years, Sister Jean was an invaluable source of wisdom and grace for generations of students, faculty, and staff."

It appears Raja Jackson has ended Syko Stu's time in the squared circle ... as one of the wrestler's good friends tells TMZ Sports he's sure Stu's in-ring time is over following the violent attack.

Douglas Malo -- who actually helped rip Jackson off of Stu during his outburst at a Knokx Pro Wrestling event back in August -- sat down with us this week after prosecutors officially levied charges on Quinton "Rampage" Jackson's son ... and he told us he can't see Stu ever mixing it up between the ropes again.

Malo said the wrestler -- real name Stuart Smith -- simply took too much damage from Raja to even try to make a comeback.

Vanessa Hudgens is super proud to have a bun in the oven ... because she was showing off her growing baby bump at brunch with her family.

Sad news out of Red Sox Nation ... longtime outfielder Mike Greenwell died on Thursday, the MLB team announced, following a courageous fight with thyroid cancer.

"We are deeply saddened by the passing of Red Sox Hall of Famer Mike Greenwell," the Sox said on X this afternoon.

"'The Gator” spent his entire career in a Red Sox uniform and was a beloved fixture of Fenway and Fort Myers. He gave so much to Lee County and Sox Nation. We send our love to the Greenwell family."

Greenwell played 12 seasons in the majors -- all for the Red Sox -- after being selected by the organization in the third round of the 1982 draft. He made his Big League debut in 1985.

After playing sparingly his first few seasons, Greenwell had a fantastic 1988 season, earning his first All-Star nod (he also made the ASG in '89) and finishing second in the A.L. MVP race behind slugger Jose Canseco ... all while securing his role as the team's left fielder.

Greenwell had 192 hits, 22 home runs, and drove in 119 runs in '88 ... his best season as a pro.

Mike retired in 1996 ... after a great career in which he had 1400 hits, 275 doubles, 387 triples, 130 home runs,  and 726 RBIs. He also walked 460 times and had a batting average of .303.

Sadly, in August, Greenwell told a local news station in Florida -- where he was living post-baseball career -- that he'd been diagnosed with medullary thyroid cancer, a rare form of cancer.

Lakers fans still reeling over the Lebron James "Second Decision" madness now have an even bigger headache to deal with ... the King has been ruled out for the start of the NBA season with an injury.

The team revealed on Thursday James will be sidelined for the next three to four weeks as he deals with sciatica -- an issue that causes pain, numbness and tingling in the lower back and down the leg.

The recovery timeline means the 40-year-old forward will miss L.A.'s home-opener vs. Steph Curry's Warriors on Oct. 21. It likely means he's out for the Lakers' tilt with Anthony Edwards' Timberwolves on Oct. 24 as well.

Boston Celtics legend Paul Pierce was arrested on Tuesday, the California Highway Patrol said.

According to the CHP, authorities found Pierce asleep while he was in the driver's seat of his Range Rover as it was in the middle of traffic on the 101 Freeway in the San Fernando Valley.

Cops say lanes had been closed on the highway while a crash investigation occurred ... and the sleeping Pierce was discovered following their reopening at around 11:35 PM.

Bad Bunny's Super Bowl announcement has left a lot of people asking for a different choice ... and they just got their wish.

Turning Point USA -- the nonprofit cofounded by the late Charlie Kirk and now headed by his widow, Erika Kirk -- is putting on their own halftime show the same day as the Super Bowl.

The company posted Thursday it's "thrilled to announce The All American Halftime Show."

Ethan Pritchard -- the Florida State University linebacker who was shot in the head in August -- has been released from the hospital.

The footballer's Seminoles team announced the positive update on Thursday ... revealing the former four-star recruit is now on his way to continue his recovery at Brooks Rehabilitation in Jacksonville, FL.

Pritchard's teammate, star quarterback Tommy Castellanos, captured his departure from Tallahassee Memorial Hospital minutes ago, showing Pritchard being cheered on by the Seminoles as he was stretchered from the facility.

Ryan Clark issued a mea culpa Thursday morning, admitting he dropped the ball when declaring Kyren Lacy an "innocent man" during the Monday Night Football broadcast.

"Two lives have been lost. Herman Hall, a man who spent his life in service of others, and Kyren Lacy, a young man I wish I could tell how much he had to live for. My heart absolutely breaks for both of them, their families and their loved ones," the 45-year-old former NFL player said on "First Take."

"In full transparency, I knew Kyren Lacy personally. But nothing matters to me more than the truth. I always strive to do my best to mix authenticity with the most complete and up-to-date information available."

9:56 AM PT -- TMZ Sports has learned Raja Jackson pled not guilty to the charges during his hearing on Monday. He's now due back in court in November.

Raja Jackson entered a Los Angeles court on Thursday to face criminal charges related to his attack on Syko Stu ... and he made it clear on his way in, he's not ready to comment on the matter publicly.

TMZ Sports shot Quinton "Rampage" Jackson's son as he walked into the San Fernando Courthouse ... and despite being peppered with questions about his case, Raja remained mum.
