Chargers' Derwin James Retired NFL Players Should Do Olympics We Don't Wanna Get Hurt!
Derwin James Jr. says it's cool that NFL players have the opportunity to compete in the 2028 Olympics, but he's suggesting they skip the Summer Games, telling TMZ Sports the injury risk in the sport is too high.
That's what the Los Angeles Chargers star told us at LAX this week, after the Fanatics Flag Football Classic went down, where his fellow NFL players competed with the U.S. men's national flag football team and celebrities.
James Jr. -- who didn't participate in the FFC due to injury -- gave kudos to the flag football players, saying their skill set gives them an edge in Olympic competition ... and the active NFL players should consider sitting out the upcoming Games.
"I say the next Olympics," James Jr. said, "give them boys this one 'cause I feel they're more prepared, they're more skilled. I mean, you seen the formations they was running out there, it was crazy!"

Even though Iman Shumpert and Teyana Taylor are divorced, the former NBA star is still proud of his ex-wife's recent accomplishments, telling TMZ Sports he's happy to see her doing well.
We caught up with Shumpert in New York City this week and asked about Taylor's recognition for her role in "One Battle After Another" -- including a Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress.

Dayton's ex, Tori Mattingly, tells TMZ ... she was friends with Dayton and dated him for 4 years until they broke up in February 2025. Mattingly says after their relationship ended, she dated the man Dayton is accused of murdering, Brad Wells.
Tori says she saw an "angry dark side" to Dayton when they were together ... alleging he would "lash out." She says she recorded a video of him in October 2024, showing him screaming at her for not letting him use her car.

7:15 AM PT Tuesday -- TMZ Sports obtained the arrest affidavit that shows Tiger Woods had two loose hydrocodone pills in his pocket at the time of his DUI arrest and stumbled through his field sobriety test.
Tiger Woods was arrested in Jupiter, FL, after speeding down a street, clipping a car, and rolling his Range Rover over ... according to law enforcement.
The accident happened around 2 PM ET. A pickup truck was turning into a driveway on a two-lane street when the Range Rover roared down the street at a high speed, according to Martin County Sheriff John Budensiek.
The driver of the pickup truck tried to turn into a driveway, but the Range Rover was going at such a high speed that the pickup truck could not fully enter the driveway, and Tiger clipped that vehicle, causing the Range Rover to flip over on the driver's side.

Joseph Kar -- the lawyer representing the alleged victim, Madison Atiabi -- announced the news Friday ... writing in a press release that his client dropped the TRO to focus solely on the civil lawsuit, which is still moving forward.
Kar also used the opportunity to bash Nacua's team for making what he called "inflammatory statements" to the press, which he said mischaracterized the facts of the case.
