Derwin James Jr. says it's cool that NFL players have the opportunity to compete in the 2028 Olympics, but he's suggesting they skip the Summer Games, telling TMZ Sports the injury risk in the sport is too high.

That's what the Los Angeles Chargers star told us at LAX this week, after the Fanatics Flag Football Classic went down, where his fellow NFL players competed with the U.S. men's national flag football team and celebrities.

James Jr. -- who didn't participate in the FFC due to injury -- gave kudos to the flag football players, saying their skill set gives them an edge in Olympic competition ... and the active NFL players should consider sitting out the upcoming Games.

"I say the next Olympics," James Jr. said, "give them boys this one 'cause I feel they're more prepared, they're more skilled. I mean, you seen the formations they was running out there, it was crazy!"

Even though Iman Shumpert and Teyana Taylor are divorced, the former NBA star is still proud of his ex-wife's recent accomplishments, telling TMZ Sports he's happy to see her doing well.

We caught up with Shumpert in New York City this week and asked about Taylor's recognition for her role in "One Battle After Another" -- including a Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress.

Shumpert -- who has had several acting gigs of his own -- didn't hesitate to praise her success.

David Benavidez is getting tired of trying to get in the ring with Canelo Alvarez, telling TMZ Sports he's moving on ... even though the fans want this mega-fight.

The undefeated boxer spoke with Michael Babcock this week and got candid about whether a fight with Alvarez will ever come to fruition.

Remember, Benavidez (31-0) has been calling out the Mexican fighter for a minute ... but nothing has materialized -- and at this point, he's over it.

"I feel like I've moved on, but I don't think the people have moved on, to be honest with you," Benavidez said.

Scary moments from the Barber Motorsports Park in Birmingham, Alabama ... where the practice for an IndyCar race resulted in two vicious crashes.

The NTT IndyCar Series' Children's Of Alabama Indy Grand Prix is set to take place Sunday ... but, while driver Scott McLaughlin was practicing Saturday he spun out on the track and careened into a fence.

Fox News journalist Abby Hornacek is one tough cookie ... she got savagely body slammed by a wrestler, but made it seem like it was a walk in the park.

Abby went head-to-head with American wrestler Kennedy Blades during Saturday morning's "Fox & Friends" segment on the Real American Freestyle wrestling event, which goes down tonight in Tampa, FL and will air on Fox Nation.

Blades, who will do battle against Milana Dudieva at the event, showed Abby just what she plans to do to her opponent this evening with her signature move, known as a suplex. And Abby was totally down with the experience, but she also admitted she was "nervous" before things got violent.

The L.A. Dodgers may have won their opening day game against the Arizona Diamondbacks ... but some of their fans were big losers getting into a video-recorded brawl.

All the madness began Thursday afternoon at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles, but the video above surfaced Friday on Instagram, and the footage is quite eye-popping.

Check it out ... in the clip, two women and two men go toe-to-toe in the stands, wrestling each other, pulling hair and throwing punches. During the brawl, one of the men falls backward, slamming into a metal railing ... but it doesn't seem like he or anyone else was seriously injured.

Tiger Woods had a really, really bad day on Friday ... and it's written all over his angry mug in these clear, new photos of the golf great leaving jail!

Not much more needs to be said about his mood ... it's obvious Tiger is down in the dumps after his arrest earlier in the day for DUI and refusal to submit to a lawful test of his urine.

Tiger Woods was released from jail late Friday night, hours after he crashed his Range Rover, rolling it over ... before being arrested for DUI.

TMZ Sports has photos of the 50-year-old golf legend leaving the Martin County Jail in Stuart, FL, in the passenger seat of a Cadillac Escalade after 11 PM ET ... and if it wasn't already clear, Woods has seen better days.

After he was sprung, Tiger reportedly attempted to sneak out a side door to avoid the throngs of media camped out at the jail. That didn't work.

Dayton Webber -- the professional cornhole player and quadruple amputee arrested for murder earlier this week -- has an ex-girlfriend who says she isn't the least bit surprised by the serious allegations against him.

Dayton's ex, Tori Mattingly, tells TMZ ... she was friends with Dayton and dated him for 4 years until they broke up in February 2025. Mattingly says after their relationship ended, she dated the man Dayton is accused of murdering, Brad Wells.

Tori says she saw an "angry dark side" to Dayton when they were together ... alleging he would "lash out." She says she recorded a video of him in October 2024, showing him screaming at her for not letting him use her car.

As we told you ... Tiger was arrested Friday afternoon in Jupiter, Florida, after cops say he sped down the street, clipped a car and flipped his vehicle over.

7:15 AM PT Tuesday -- TMZ Sports obtained the arrest affidavit that shows Tiger Woods had two loose hydrocodone pills in his pocket at the time of his DUI arrest and stumbled through his field sobriety test.

Tiger Woods was arrested in Jupiter, FL, after speeding down a street, clipping a car, and rolling his Range Rover over ... according to law enforcement.

The accident happened around 2 PM ET. A pickup truck was turning into a driveway on a two-lane street when the Range Rover roared down the street at a high speed, according to Martin County Sheriff John Budensiek.

The driver of the pickup truck tried to turn into a driveway, but the Range Rover was going at such a high speed that the pickup truck could not fully enter the driveway, and Tiger clipped that vehicle, causing the Range Rover to flip over on the driver's side.

The woman accusing Puka Nacua of using an antisemitic statement and then biting her so hard he left teeth marks has voluntarily withdrawn her application for a temporary restraining order.

Joseph Kar -- the lawyer representing the alleged victim, Madison Atiabi -- announced the news Friday ... writing in a press release that his client dropped the TRO to focus solely on the civil lawsuit, which is still moving forward.

Kar also used the opportunity to bash Nacua's team for making what he called "inflammatory statements" to the press, which he said mischaracterized the facts of the case.

Donald Trump spoke out following Tiger Woods’ rollover crash before it was announced the golf star was busted for DUI … and he’s clearly got concerns.

The POTUS was asked about Woods following Friday's frightening incident in Jupiter, FL … and while he didn’t dive into specifics as he remarked from a tarmac next to Air Force 1, his tone said plenty.

“I feel so bad. He's got some difficulty -- there was an accident, and that's all I know,” Trump said. “A very close friend of mine, he's an amazing person, an amazing man. But some difficulty. I don't want to talk about it.”
